If you wish to meet with me in person, I encourage you to call or email to schedule an appointment. Due to the nature of my role as a school counselor, I often times find myself handling spur of the moment situations and may not be able to meet with you if you arrive unannounced. Thank you!

Qualifications

I completed my Ed.S. in School Counseling from Valdosta State University in 2018. I obtained my M.Ed. in School Counseling from Columbus State University in 2016 and obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Gender and Women's Studies from Kennesaw State University in 2012. I also have my Educational Leadership Tier I Certificate from Kennesaw State University. My counseling degrees are from CACREP accredited schools. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia and Alabama and I earned my National Certified Counselor (NCC) credential in 2016. I have 3 and a half years of experience working as a School Counselor at primary school. This is my fifth year as a High School Counselor. I am also a part-time Therapist at the Pastoral Institute in Columbus, GA.

Personal Information

I am originally from Columbus, Georgia and currently reside in Phenix City, Alabama. I have prior experience working in restaurant management, customer service, and with the Department of Family and Children Services as a Child Protective Services Investigator. I am a dog lover and have three pups at home; a chihuahua/pug mix named Norris (he has buck teeth), a pitbull terrier mix puppy named Marshmellow, and a big scruffy wire haired mix named Fenn. I believe in education and love gaining knowledge wherever I can. In my spare time I enjoy taking my dogs to the pool to swim, reading, going to concerts, baking, planting flowers, yoga, and spending time with family and friends. I consider myself pretty tech savvy and have recently taken an interest in graphic design. I also love to travel and I hope one day I can spend my summers doing mission work in other countries. Right now my favorite places to visit are the white-sandy Florida beaches and New York City. I consider myself a humanitarian, a social justice advocate, and a change agent working towards equity.
