If you wish to meet with me in person, I encourage you to call or email to schedule an appointment. Due to the nature of my role as a school counselor, I often times find myself handling spur of the moment situations and may not be able to meet with you if you arrive unannounced. Thank you!

Qualifications

I am currently in the doctoral program at the University of West Georgia for Professional Counseling and Supervision. I completed my Ed.S. in School Counseling from Valdosta State University in 2018. I obtained my M.Ed. in School Counseling from Columbus State University in 2016 and obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Gender and Women's Studies from Kennesaw State University in 2012. My counseling degrees are from CACREP accredited schools. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia and Alabama and I earned my National Certified Counselor (NCC) credential in 2016. I have 3 and a half years of experience working as a School Counselor at primary school. This is my second year as a High School Counselor. I am also currently split with Columbus High School's Guidance Department on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Personal Information

I am originally from Columbus, Georgia and currently reside in Phenix City, Alabama. I have prior experience working in restaurant management, customer service, and with the Department of Family and Children Services as a Child Protective Services Investigator. I am a dog lover and have five pups at home; a chihuahua/pug mix named Norris (he has buck teeth), a pitbull terrier mix puppy named Marshmellow, a big scruffy wire haired mix named Fenn, and two Australian shepherds named Bailey and Dustey. I believe in education and love gaining knowledge so most of my free time is spent doing homework or reading journal articles for a class I'm involved in. If I get a break from coursework, I enjoy taking my dogs to the pool to swim, reading, going to concerts, baking, planting flowers, and spending time with family and friends. I consider myself pretty tech savvy and have recently taken an interest in graphic design. I also love to travel and I hope one day I can spend my summers doing mission work in other countries. Right now my favorite places to visit are the white-sandy Florida beaches and New York City. I consider myself a humanitarian, a social justice advocate, and a change agent working towards equity.
